Glamping
Back From Camping As usual; good food while camping is a priority. The Primus stove is still going strong, though this trip mandated digging out the faithful, hand-me-down, butane single-burner. Ah the complexities of two vegan meal variants: GF and not. LOL. The first order of business is, as always, tarps: Kelty 16' Noah's Tarp (x2) to the rescue. It has a tendency to rain in the fall, here on the coast. Sadly not enough to lift the fire ban in Juan de Fuca park, this year, though even if it had; I'd preferred it not happen while we were camping for reasons of sogginess. ;) A typical dinner might be nice stir-fry with smoked tofu, quartered "grape" tomatoes, broccoli, bell pepper and home-made gluten- and sesame-free peanut sauce, over rice: Admittedly; the rice was boil-in-bag Basmati in this case. After-dinner relaxation down at the beach, entertaining the camp chocolate Lab, makes for a nice wind-down: "That stick is here somewhere.....
